If you are aiming to create a glamorous effect you could go for lovely gold tones combined with rich deep blue or purple. Simply use your damask border paper to frame doors or windows, even mirrors and pictures can be framed.  Remember to mitre the edges by trimming each edge on angle for more professional look. If you are going for an even bolder look you put a border on the ceiling, just start a couple of inches in from the edge and follow all the way round angling the corners. For a more discreet look, go for pretty pastel shades, silver and white are also a nice combination. This is very easy to do, you will just need to paste the paper, fix it on to the object that you want to decorate and then simply glaze it. You transform a boring beside cabinet into a beautiful, individual looking piece of furniture. Why not use the same paper to make over a dressing table or chest of drawers for a co-ordinated appearance.
